Our Fleet

Our RIB boats (Rigid Inflatable Boats) are among the fastest RIB boats available in Iceland. They were specially designed to get you as close as possible to the whales, dolphins and puffins here in Husavik. Their speed allows us to cover longer distances in search of the whales, which increases your chances of meeting some of the biggest animals in the world. Despite the speed and power of our RIB boats, their noise and impact is minimal. Last summer we had a 100% success of seeing whales on Skjalfandi bay.

We have two RIB boats that seat 12 passengers per boat, each with an expert whale watching guide and captain on board. Our captains have many years of experience sailing on Skjalfandi bay. We focus on small group tours, which eliminates competition for the best view on board. Our reputation for a passenger-centered approach precedes us, assuring you with the best possible experience and utmost safety on board.

Reviews from our customers!

"We heard that Husavik Adventures was a newer company and would be a bit better priced so we decided to take our whale viewing tour with them. As soon as I met the captain and crew member I felt confident we were in great hands. The captain had 20+ years of experience in the waters off Husavik. We saw 3 different humpback whales, puffins, and a large pod of dolphins. The staff was friendly and genuinely seemed to want us to have great experience. Great new boats too!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"

Wayson wIncredible evening of experiencing whales

"In August 15, I booked a trip with them to watch whales. It seems that the company is quite young, and do not have a huge marketing window at the port. Hence they are less expensive than comps (15k ISK for a tour vs. 16k more or less) and chances are high that the tour would be more intimate. Indeed, the boat was not fully booked so it nearly looked like a private tour. On top of that, the guide & the captain were very nice, coming to check if everything was OK and providing a lot of infos (they were both former fishermen so they know what they're talking about).
Additionally, they take care of respecting the whales which is something valuable!"

CaploupBy far the best choice to enjoy watching whales!

"We also confirm that it was a very nice experience. They are very friendly and they have two new RIBs which are much faster than standard boats. During our first trip unfortunately we saw almost nothing but they offered another trip free of charge and that time we were more lucky. We saw dolfins, a minke whale and another big whale."

CesadiFriendly and professional

Húsavík Adventures added 2 new photos.

After an autumn storm that went on for a few days the good weather has returned to Húsavík and the bay is blooming with wildlife. Yesterday we had the privilege to witness a blue whale swimming in the middle of Skjálfandi Bay! This is a really rare sight in September with Blue whales being mostly spotted in June. Today is another great day as you can see on these photos taken by our CEO, Sigurður Veigar Bjarnason. Magical stuff!
